Origin of Sartorius?

Sartorius originates from the anterior superior iliac spine of the ilium. This bony prominence at the front of the pelvis is the starting point from which the muscle runs diagonally across the thigh to insert on the medial aspect of the tibia (pes anserinus). The other sites belong to other muscles: the ischial tuberosity is the origin for some hamstrings, the pubic symphysis is associated with muscles like gracilis and some adductors, and the greater trochanter is a common attachment for gluteal muscles.
